E-Invoice Validator & Creator
XRechnung · ZUGFeRDValidate, inspect, create and convert electronic invoices directly in ChatGPT.
XRechnung 3.0 and ZUGFeRD 2 / Factur-X, checked against the official rules.
What it does
Supported formats
- XRechnung 3.0 (UN/CEFACT CII and UBL, invoice and credit note)
- EN 16931 (CII and UBL)
- ZUGFeRD 2 / Factur-X: MINIMUM, BASIC WL, BASIC, EN 16931, EXTENDED, XRECHNUNG
- PDF/A-3 with embedded XML
How it works
You upload the invoice in ChatGPT and ask for a check. ChatGPT passes the file to this plugin, which sends it over an encrypted tunnel to our validation server in Germany. The server runs the official validators and returns a structured result that ChatGPT explains to you.
How your data is handled
- Invoices are processed only to answer your request and are not stored. They are held in memory for the duration of the check.
- Invoices you create or convert are kept in memory for at most one hour so you can download them, then deleted. A server restart deletes them earlier.
- Invoice content is never logged and never used for training. We only record technical usage data such as which function ran, whether it succeeded and how long it took.
- Processing server: IONOS SE (data centre in Berlin, Germany) as our processor. Website and plugin hosting: Cloudflare.
FAQ
Is a “valid” result legal or tax advice?
No. It is a technical standards validation against EN 16931, XRechnung and ZUGFeRD rules. Whether an invoice meets all legal requirements (e.g. § 14 UStG) can depend on facts the file does not show.
Which validator is used?
KoSIT Validator 1.6.3 with the XRechnung 3.0.2 configuration (2026-08-31) for XRechnung and EN 16931, and Mustangproject 2.26.0 with veraPDF for PDF/A-3 and the other ZUGFeRD profiles.
Why is a ZUGFeRD MINIMUM or BASIC WL invoice flagged?
These profiles lack information required by EN 16931. In Germany they do not count as e-invoices (BMF letter of 15 October 2024).
Can it read plain PDF invoices?
No. A PDF needs an embedded e-invoice XML (ZUGFeRD/Factur-X). Scanned or plain PDFs are not e-invoices.
